BEFORE YOUR VISIT
1. FILL IN BLANK SPACES- Completely fill in all blank spaces on your document before we meet. The document should have notarial wording. IF it does not, please let us know.
2. WAIT TO SIGN- Do not sign your document until you are in the presence of your notary.
3. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS- IF you have questions regarding the document, please contact the person who requested the document. A notary public is unable to provide legal advice or assistance in the completion of any document.
4. BRING A VALID ID- The individual signing the document must physically appear in person (or online for RON) and present a valid picture ID. Example: Government ID, Drivers License, Passport, Military ID.
5. WHEN A WITNESS IS NEEDED-
All documents must be ready and presented with a VALID ID when you meet your notary. If the individual signing does not have and is unable to get an ID (example, elderly person in a retirement home) he or she may still be able to sign with a witness present. The witness will have to attest to the identity of the signer. If the signer does not have a valid form of ID, please reach out prior to appointment to be able to plan accordingly.
6. WILL YOU NEED A CERTIFIED COPY?-
The original document must be present. For example; birth , death and marriage certificate can not be notarized.
